Biography: Elena Gómez-Díaz is tenured researcher at the Spanish National Scientific Council (IPBLN-CSIC), where she leads the Malaria Epigenomics Lab. She did the PhD at the University of Barcelona (Spain), and two international postdocs: 3 years at the CNRS (France) funded by two MSCA actions, and 3 years at Emory University (USA). In 2015 she returned to Spain as a Ramon y Cajal. As a PI she has spent more than a year working in Africa. She is co-founder and co-coordinator of “Women In Malaria” (https://womeninmalaria.es).
