Biography: I am an industrial PhD student at BioBam Bioinformatics S.L. in Valencia and cooperate heavily with the Genomics of Gene Expression Lab at I2SysBio.
My research interests are mainly in the bioinformatic analysis of long-read RNA sequencing data, particularly making such analyses more user-friendly and therefore accessible to researchers without extensive computational skills. My current work focuses on the evaluation of transcriptome reconstruction tools for lrRNA-seq data, but we also plan to make use of my background in Data Science to explore the landscape of deep learning-based methods for functional annotation of RNA and protein sequences.
