Biography: Raúl Ortega is a computer engineer who works as Technical Manager in the BCB lab at the Doñana Biological Station (EBD-CSIC). He manages and maintains the high-performance computing cluster, develops and deploys scientific applications with Docker and Kubernetes, and trains users to make effective use of computing resources and workflows. He is the co-author of the avidaR R package, and ontoavida ontology, and has contributed C++ modifications to Avida; he also applies full‑stack development skills to integrate pipelines, APIs, and lightweight frontends.
