GWideCodeML

GWideCodeML is a Python package designed to facilitate genome-wide testing of evolutionary hypotheses using codeml, a tool from the PAML (Phylogenetic Analysis by Maximum Likelihood) package. While codeml is widely used for detecting positive selection at the molecular level, it traditionally operates on a gene-by-gene basis, which limits its scalability for large genomic datasets. GWideCodeML addresses this by enabling parallelized, automated analysis across many genes and taxa.
